It is for these very reasons that marrying meditation and music into one holistic experience is extremely powerful!

Many people prefer to meditate in silence. Turning inward and finding peace, without any sound at all, helps to increase their experience of a calm, non-thinking state. For some, being around the sounds of nature helps to increase their experience. Birds chirping, wind rustling in the trees, or even the sound of a flowing river or waves crashing on the shore, can intensify the feeling of inner peace found when one meditates. And others simply lose themselves and all thought when they turn inward, listening to calm, meditation music .

Most alternative health centers will play relaxing music while patients receive treatments. It can help put a person into a receptive, meditative state that intensifies the healing being done. The same can be true while we meditate. Meditation and music can help people focus and become more self-aware. People meditate for many different reasons. Deciding how you meditate is very personal. There is no judgment, no comparisons and no competition to be had when meditating. Finding your own truth in your own relaxing state is what meditation is all about.
