In a recent New York Times article, attention deficit disorder, (ADD), and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), are reported to be keeping some of those who have this condition from getting their drivers license.
Adding to the challenge of owning personal transportation, or getting a license to drive are the reduced job and educational opportunities from not being able to drive a vehicle.
